1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VoxScript TTS Reader AI, you confirm that you are at least 3 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Licence Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not include the right to:

• Modify, copy, or create derivative works of the App or its content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels on the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Transfer the App to another person or entity

3. App Functionality

3.1 Text-to-Speech Services

The App converts text, documents, and files provided by the User into synthesised speech. The quality and accuracy of voice output depends on the underlying text-to-speech engine available on your device and the language selected.

3.2 Offline Functionality

Core text-to-speech features operate without an internet connection. However, certain features — including advertisement loading, in-app purchase processing, and Firebase service communication — require internet access.

3.3 In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases ("Pro" features) processed through the Google Play Store. All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms and conditions. We do not store your payment information. Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy.

4. User Obligations

You agree not to use the App to:

• Convert, reproduce, or distribute copyrighted text without authorisation from the rights holder
• Generate audio content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful
• Circumvent any technical protection measures in the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers connected to it
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to software code, design, logos, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to VoxScript TTS Reader AI. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the App's intellectual property other than the limited licence described in Section 2.

Text content that you input into the App remains your property. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the App's text-to-speech functionality.

6. Advertisements

The free version of the App displays third-party advertisements served by Google AdMob. We have no control over the content of these advertisements. You may remove advertisements by purchasing a Pro subscription through the App.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of synthesised speech output.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall VoxScript TTS Reader AI, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VoxScript TTS Reader AI and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
